The burger was everything I had hoped with a better than expected bun. I wish there were more fries to the large, and they could have salted them more. Sad I didn't get salt or fry sauce with the meal, just 6 ketchup packets. Milk shake was excellent. I'll be coming back. This is the double with bacon and cheese. Edit: in response to the guy bashing millennials below everyone I encountered was friendly and busting butt, even the grey haired guy at the window.

This has got to be one of the best burger stand burgers I've had up here (PNW). The fries are a crispy delight, staff is nice and friendly. My only complaint is the chili from the chili cheese fries the chili kind of sucks wasn't what I had been craving but they get points for even having chili cheese fries which most burger joints don't have to begin with.

They have a delicious Chicken strip basket and Halibut Fish and chips! Their burgers and breakfast burritos are great too!

We love a good burger place and this place is just that. Very good small burger place. The food is great. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. Love the prices as well. Will be coming back again.

I am always so happy to find a good old fashioned burger place. The deluxe burger with fries and a chocolate shake couldn't have been better. And super convenient they had a drive thru.

The food is great, although I am not a fan of the gyro. Food is made to order and is always fresh. Milk shakes are tasty, and they have seasonal options.

We have driven past the Burger Bar numerous times, heading to and from Portland, for years, all the time saying “We really want to try this place one day”. Well. One day came along! After dropping our daughter off at PDX, my husband and I agreed that a burger and fries sounded like a nice meal to get before the final 1.5 hour drive home. We swung into the Burger Bar and were struck by how decent the prices were. We both opted for the 1/4 lb burger, mine with onion rings and husband with fries. He also ordered a chocolate milkshake. The waitstaff was friendly and hustling! It was busy and those kids kept up, all with smiles on their faces. Our food was delivered to the table quickly. Hot and yummy! The onion rings were excellent. Crispy and golden. The burger was tasty. The meat was a thin patty, and didn’t look hand patted, more like a thin, frozen pre-made patty. That kind of disappointed me, but, to their credit, it was tasty. Honestly, a very respectable greasy spoon kind of burger. Exactly what we were in the mood for! The crinkle cut fries were fried to a perfect golden crisp as well. And, the chocolate shake rounded the meal off nicely! The menu is large with some great options to try, so my husband and I agreed we’ll definitely be back to do just that! Next time you’re driving past Kalama, consider swinging into the Burger Bar and giving them a try!

good food, good prices, worth the stop if traveling between Seattle and Portland.
